Pair this with the popular garlic parmesan chicken tenders, seasoned to perfection, and you’ll find a harmonious balance of flavors—albeit a tad short on the garlic punch for some. While some diners have noted minor service hiccups, such as the absence of drink pairing with meals and specific requests not being accommodated, the overwhelming consensus is clear: the food at Phat Buns (Nottingham) is uniquely delicious. Ordered the phat buns meal for delivery The burger (beef)was amazing, best burger I’ve had. Garlic parm Chicken tenders were well seasoned with spices but not very garlic flavoured. Potato tots were delicious but abit drowned in sauce and became abit soggy. Finally the Mac and cheese was penne pasta in a cream sauce, it was quite bland but came with the meal deal. Overall for £12 box it was really good and very filling. Would definely order the burger again A side note is the box it came in had no paper lining, so hopefully it was cleaned before food being put straight onto it.

To begin with, the food was actually rather delicious. I ordered 2 sliders with the crinkle cut fries and had both their signature dips. The first fault I found with this order was that they don’t serve drinks with their meals which made it taste quite dry, but not anything too major. The sauce in the slider was very tasty however the majority of the slider was just buns and sauce and it didn’t have enough chicken but the parts where the chicken was present, it was extremely good. Very well seasoned, and will definitely be looking to have some of that chicken again. Moving on with the service, I ordered for delivery but needed some sauces and needed my gherkins to be removed from the fries, so I called up the shop and asked them however they claimed that my order was almost packed and they weren’t “able to help”. I’ve worked in the fast food industry before and I know it takes about 10 seconds maximum to quickly put some sauces in an order even if it’s almost packed. Key word, almost. Even if it was fully packed, it would still be easily doable within a matter of seconds, just pure laziness from the workers. However the delivery driver was helpful, so I will let them slide due to their positive service provided.

Right, so I hit up this place PHAT BUNS— yeah, I know, sounds like something from a naughty dream — but the food? Bangin’. I built my own burger (because obviously I know what I want), stacked it with caramelised onions, an extra patty, and proper gooey American cheese. Thing was a beast. Juicy, messy, full-on flavour bomb. Like a burger that gives you a cuddle from the inside. Now let me tell you about the sweet chilli tater tots — crispy, sweet, with just enough kick. But the real genius move? Corn ribs. I don’t know who came up with that idea, but they deserve a standing ovation. Sweet, smoky, and honestly addictive. And because I clearly have no self-control, I finished it all off with a s’mores shake. Thick, and chocolatey. Honestly, if you’re hungry and want something that hits, get yourself to PHAT BUNS. Weird name, incredible food. Just wear stretchy pants. You’ve been warned.
